Puppetry or Progress? Kevin James’ Attack Ad is Funny but Muddy

Below is an excerpt from the Emanuel Pleitez for Los Angeles Mayor campaign blog, about the release of a negative ad produced by a Kevin James’ SuperPAC, Better Way L.A., which stars Eric Garcetti, Wendy Greuel, and Jan Perry as a trio of ‘foxes in the henhouse’ of City Hall. “James’ video highlights Eric Garcetti’s, Wendy Greuel’s, and Jan Perry’s time working at City Hall. Together, these three made the same short-sighted decisions that brought this city to the brink of bankruptcy, have our schools at a 50% drop-out rate and one of the highest unemployment rates in the country, near 12%.

James‘ video, “Hen House”, excels at highlighting Garcetti’s, Greuel’s, and Perry’s special interest commitments and backing, yet fails to mention his own special interest ties to Better Way L.A., a SuperPAC started by political mudslinger, Fred Davis.

While mayoral candidate James is right about the City Hallers’ failures throughout the last decade, he conveniently overlooks his own special interest ties to Better Way L.A.

James was the first to bring in a SuperPAC into the mayoral race, which paid for the poorly produced attack ad. Hypocrisy at its finest.

When it is time to vote for the next mayor of Los Angeles, vote for the only candidate who is accountable only to you, Emanuel Alberto Pleitez.

He doesn’t need a SuperPAC or special interest backing, because with your support, progress can come to everyone in Los Angeles.”
